The Ford brand has a long history of innovation and forward thinking. Now, Ford automaker plans to pump $4.5 billion into creating an electric car lineup unlike anything we have ever seen! Their plans also include adding a total of 13 new all-electric cars to its lineup by the year 2020. If these early estimated hold true, Ford could potentially see as much as 40% of its lineup consist of all-electric cars, and we here at Willis Ford are incredibly excited at the prospect of having a versatile, environmentally friendly lineup moving into the future.
Of course, drivers won’t have to wait until 2020 before they can get their hands on these new cars. The new Ford Focus electric vehicle is slated to come out at the end of 2016, just a year away! Amongst its many improvements, Ford projects that it will have a range of 100 miles per charge, a significant jump from the 2011 model which could go 70 miles on a single charge.
